| Unveiling of the 9/11 Heroes Memorial Plaque, which will be permanently installed at 111 Centre Street to remember and honor court officers William Thompson, Thomas Jurgens and Mitchel Wallace, who responded and died on the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The 9/11 Heroes Memorial Plaque has the following inscription: 'For their exceptional courage and selfless acts on the morning of 9/11 2001, the New York Unified Court System remembers these three heroes everyday with gratitude and wonder. In the face of extraordinary danger they never faulted. May their strength and enduring spirit inspire us always.' |
