A. CASE INFORMATION ON-LINE AND ELECTRONIC NOTIFICATIONS

County Clerk and court information in most cases, both those in which a Request for Judicial Intervention has been filed and those in which it has not, and many documents in such cases are available on-line on this website (in the Supreme Court Records On-Line Library ("SCROLL")). Included in this data is information about motions, conferences and trial appearances.

The court system also operates a program that monitors developments in groups of cases designated by subscribing attorneys and provides notification thereof. The attorney identifies as many of his/her cases as the attorney wishes and the program will promptly notify counsel by e-mail message whenever there is a development in such a case as reflected in the court’s computer system. For example, such a notice will be sent when a conference is scheduled, a motion is adjourned, or a decision or order is issued (decisions and orders are accessible in SCROLL). This program, known as "e-Track," can be accessed at http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/webcivil/etrackLogin (or go to "E-Courts" and then to e-Track). There is no charge for this service. The court generally does not provide notice of scheduled appearances by mail and therefore strongly recommends that counsel use e-Track.

B. PRIVATE INFORMATION SERVICES

Various private companies make available to subscribers through electronic means the court’s computer database of case histories and County Clerk data. All events in a case that are recorded in the computer can be tracked.

C. THE COURTS' WEB PAGES

On this website can be found the Uniform Rules of the Justices, announcements and much other information. Decisions and orders of the Justices and the Commercial Division Justices, with County Clerk entry stamp, are posted daily in SCROLL. The Commercial Division operates a separate website (at www.nycourts.gov/comdiv), where the pages for the Division in New York County can be located. In addition, our court maintains a site for the statewide Litigation Coordinating Panel (Uniform Rule 202.69). (The clerk of the Panel is located in this court.)

D. COURTROOM 2000 AND OTHER ADVANCED COURTROOMS

The Court Reporters in this court offer some of the most sophisticated capabilities available in the State, such as e-mailing of transcripts, ASSCII disks, e-transcripts, realtime transcription in the courtroom and on the internet, CD Roms, indices of each day's proceedings, and a master index of the whole trial.  Our court operates several technologically advanced courtrooms, including a pioneering Courtroom 2000 for the New Millennium.  For further information, click here.

E.  ELECTRONIC CASE FILING

Most cases in the court must be filed by means of the court's electronic filing system, the New York State Courts Electronic Filing System ("NYSCEF")(www.nycourts.gov/efile).  For information about e-filing in this court, click here.
