Civil:
Counsel to file original and one copy of motion/order to show cause. TROs must be made on notice to opposing counsel, if known, or after good faith attempt to discover name of opposing counsel. Adjournments of motions/orders to show cause require court permission. Prior to contacting court for adjournment, consent of opposing counsel must be sought.

Matrimonial:
Counsel to file original and one copy of motion/order to show cause. Unless court directs otherwise, TROs must be made on notice to opposing counsel, if known, or after good faith attempt to discover name of opposing counsel. Adjournments of motions/orders to show cause require court permission. Prior to contacting court for adjournment, consent of opposing counsel must be sought.

TRIALS and REFERENCES:

Civil:
No proof taken on Mondays. Court strictly adheres to trial schedule. Adjournments are discouraged. Prior to contacting court for adjournment, consent of opposing counsel must be sought. Prior to jury selection, counsel must exchange names and addresses of witnesses, including expert witnesses. Prior to commencement of proof, all exhibits must be marked for identification. Proposed jury instructions and verdict sheet are required as soon as possible, but at least one day prior to charge conference. Charge conference held after proof is complete.

Matrimonial:
Reference to Law Clerk to hear and report on divorces on stipulation and contested economics. Prior to commencement of proof, all exhibits are to be marked for identification. Note of Issue must be filed before judgment of divorce will be signed and granted.
