DIRECTIONS TO COURTHOUSE:
FROM THE SOUTH (White Plains)
Take the Taconic Parkway North to Route 55 Poughkeepsie
(West) (It will join up with Rt 44) As you enter the Town of Poughkeepsie,
stay on 55. At the corner of 44/55 & Market Street you will notice
the Grand Hotel on your left. After you pass the Hotel, keep left and
go to second traffic light, make a left turn. Continue one block to first
traffic light, turn left on Market Street. Dutchess Family Court is the
second building on your left.
FROM THE NORTH (Albany)
New York State Thruway South to Exit 18 (New Paltz). Go through the
toll booths, road splits - bear to the right and then make a right on
299. Stay on 299 to the end. Right at the light onto Route 9W South. Continue
on Route 9W South through Highland and watch for signs to Mid-Hudson Bridge.
Turn right on the ramp leading to Mid-Hudson Bridge (Route 44-55 East...
Also called Church Street) go over Mid-Hudson Bridge. After you cross
the bridge stay in your left lane (there are 3 lanes) turn left at the
third light (Market Street) Dutchess Family Court is the second building
on your left.
FROM THE WEST (Goshen)
Take 84 East to Route 9W North, Exit 10, last exit before Newburgh-Beacon
Bridge. Left off exit ramp onto Route 9W North, continue on 9W North
to Mid-Hudson Bridge (Route 44-55)
Landmarks:
After you go thru Marlboro, go thru 3 lights (some distance between them)
You will pass a Mobil Station on your right at the 3rd light.
Strip mall on your right side and McDonalds.
Get in your right hand lane
Go over the Mid-Hudson bridge after you cross the bridge stay in your
left lane (there are 3 lanes) turn left at the third light. Dutchess Family
Court is the second building on your left.
NOTE:
Parking lot on your left between the 3rd building (Nelson
House) and the 4th building (County Office Complex) directly across the
street from the Bardavon Theater.
Additional parking
further down Market Street at the Grand Hotel and across from the Grand
Hotel. There are also additional parking lots in the area.
