Honorable Ruth C. Balkin, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, received the prestigious 2018 National Leadership Award from the Yashar, the Attorneys’ and Judges’ Chapter of Hadassah, at a program held at the Shelter Rock Jewish Center. Justice Balkin, who is a member of the Court’s constitutional bench and one of its senior justices, was presented with the award by her colleague, Honorable Leonard B. Austin, who is also an Associate Justice of the Court.
