SEARCH BY ATTORNEY NAME

Type in a name of a law firm or an attorney's name.
-
Upper case, lower case and mixed case are acceptable. To search
for Smith, Green and Jones enter either

Smith or SMITH or smith

-
NOTE: Smith, Green & Jones (with the ampersand) is a different search
than Smith, Green and Jones (with the and).

NOTE: Smith Green (without the comma) is a different search and
would not find Smith, Green with the comma.

To speed the search type in an entire word rather than a partial
word (i.e. Adler rather than Adl)
-
In many counties attorneys are not listed individually. Instead
their law firm is listed.

If you cannot find an attorney, try the law firm name instead.
-
To further limit the search you can optionally click on the down arrow
of the drop down box and select one of 13 counties.
-
a blank in the OPTIONAL Enter County box is the default and all counties
will be searched.

The search returns all cases that have court appearance dates in the future
(or 15 days back from the day of the search)

Which matches the search term you entered.

20 matches are returned at a time. To see the next 20 matches click
on the Next button on the bottom of the screen (not visible in the
example above).

To see further information about a particular case, click on an
index number.

To see the names and address of all attorneys on a particular and to further
navigate to a calendar of future court appearance for that attorney/firm
click on one of the underlined letters in the Who
for column.

To return to the previous screen click the back button on your browser.

To return to the Home Page click on the
home on the upper right of the screen.
-
Click on a firm/attorney name in the "Attorney/Firm"
column for name and address information for all attorney on the case and
to access the future court appearance calendar.

The name, address and phone numbers, as maintained by the court in the
county where the case is pending, is shown.

NOTE: Different courts in different counties may
maintain different addresses and phone numbers for a law firm or attorney.

To view a calendar of future appearance for an attorney/firm in the Supreme
Court for the county indicated on the screen, click on the picture
of a calendar in the appropriate row.

Use the browser's back button to return to the previous screen.

BY INDEX NUMBER OR PLAINTIFF OR DEFENDANT

Optionally, enter the county for your search. The '%' is the default
and will search all counties.
-
Type in any index number. Leave out leading zeros and slashes.
(e.g. 0008167/1997 should be entered 81671997).

OR type the first plaintiff's name and/or the first defendant's
name. For example,
-
To find VOGT, BRIAN v. RATTO, DAVID P you could type in the plaintiff
box:
-
VOGT or Vogt or vogt (the result would be all cases in all counties where
the first plaintiff has a last name of Vogt).
-
VOGT, BRIAN or vogt, brian or Vogt, Brian (the result would be all cases
in all counties where the first plaintiff has a first name of Brian and
a last name of Vogt). Note: The comma is necessary.

To find the same case(s) using the defendant box you could type in:
-
RATTO or Ratto or ratto (the result would be all cases in all counties
where the first defendant has a last name of Ratto).

RATTO, DAVID P or Ratto, David P or ratto, david p or RATTO, DAVID etc.
(the result would be the case(s) where the defendant has a first name of
David, middle initial of P and a last name of Ratto).

NOTE: The comma is necessary. Also NOTE that there is no
period after the P for this particular case. If a P is enter with
the period this case would not be found.

NOTE: To speed this search only the short title of a case is
searched. You cannot search on a coplaintiff or codefendant or a
third-party. This has been implemented to speed the search of 60
million records.
