As part of our ongoing series with the Supreme Court Historical Society, Nominated From New York: The Empire State’s Contributions to the Supreme Court Bench, we are pleased to present a program featuring The Honorable John G. Roberts, Jr., Chief Justice of the United States. The Chief Justice will present remarks on Charles Evans Hughes, who served as Chief Justice of the United States from 1930 to 1941.
The remarks will be followed by an interview of Chief Justice Roberts by The Honorable Robert A. Katzmann, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. The Honorable Jonathan Lippman, Chief Judge of the State of New York, will introduce the evening’s program.
