
John Coakley joined the Unified Court System in February 1979 as an Office Assistant in the New York City Family Court. Since that time, he has held several different positions in Family Court and has worked in both Bronx and Kings Counties. Having been promoted through the Court Clerk ranks, John is now the Assistant Deputy Chief Clerk of the Family Court in Kings County. Throughout his career, he has been involved in many aspects of the overall operation of the court. He has also participated in projects that involve the delivery of services to court users such as the Domestic Violence Project, the Red Hook Community Court, and most recently at the Family Assistant Center in the aftermath of the World Trade Center tragedy. |
