I began my career at the Unified Court System in May of 1997 when I entered the New York State Court Officer Academy. My first assignment as a Court Officer was the Bronx Criminal Court, I subsequently transferred to the Queens Criminal Court in September of 1998 and then to the First District Court - Hempstead in January of 1999. I was promoted to my current position of Senior Court Officer at the Nassau County Supreme Court in April of 2000. Since arriving at the Nassau County Supreme Court I have been actively involved in advanced officer training and development. I am responsible for creating the multi-media CD-ROM as well as the instructor and student manuals for teaching Domestic Violence Awareness at the New York State Court Officer Academy and satellite training facilities. I also participate in the Nassau County Courts Speakers Bureau where I visit local schools throughout Nassau County and lecture students. For the students benefit, I have created multi-media CD-ROM's to help them better follow my presentations. The topics include: the daily job responsibilities of a Court Officer, firearm safety and the extensive training Court Officers receive in order to handle their weapons safely, and a three page handout based on interesting court related facts. On a personal level, my wife Kelly gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Erin in May of 2002.
