Family Court.
Marcia was nominated by Chief Clerk Rebecca Kelley
and Deputy Chief Clerk Jackie Minchin of Chemung County Family Court. In their
nomination they wrote:
"In the Spring of 2005, Chemung Family Court placed
a call to the District Office requesting assistance to streamline our court operations
in an effort to balance the workload and to become more efficient. The District
Office sent Marcia DiRose, Chief Clerk of Broome Family Court to assist.
Marcia
graciously gave of her time and made numerous journeys to Elmira to evaluate our
court operations and assist us in the implementation of a new way of working -
- the Team Concept. She worked diligently with us to teach and guide us throughout
the transition. She carefully listened to our concerns and answered our questions
with patience and understanding. She showed us, by example, how to be strong and
effective leaders of our court.
Marcia not only stood by us during this
change, she also got down and dirty with us cleaning out old materials and thereby
not only restructuring our court, but also reorganizing our offices. She welcomed
us and our staff into her court operations in Broome Family to enable everyone
to see a court that functions both professionally and proficiently.
We
are now well on the road to transitioning Chemung Family Court from a struggling
work environment to a proficient and streamlined operation." |
