Supreme Court Law Department.
Joyce has been a Law Stenographer in the Suffolk
County Supreme Court Law Department for more than
eight years. Mary Ellen Worden, Chief Court Attorney,
describes Joyce as a talented hardworking staff member
who is always willing to help other employees. Joyce
is well liked and respected by her coworkers because
of her ability, warmth and concern for others. She
is well known for good sense of humor and laughter.
What makes all this most amazing is she has been courageously
battling a serious illness for a number of years.
In addition Joyce is an active member of the National
Association of Legal Secretaries, Suffolk County Chapter.
The Organization is involved in many educational and
charitable activities including programs to raise
public awareness of how the court system operates.
Joyce has been instrumental in the success of these
various programs. District Administrative Judge, H.
Patrick Leis III, is especially proud to see Joyce
selected for this prestigious award since she is being
honored for attributes which he believes are to be
held in the highest regard.
