Dear Billy,
We Were so thrilled that you have agreed to accept our award honoring
you and the entire Richmond Family Court staff for your commitmen to assisting
unrepresented domestic violence victims and your support of the Courtroom
Advocates Project (CAP). Your recognition of the important and valuable
service CAP provides for pro se domestic violence victims and your collaboration
with us have critical components of CAP's success in New York City.
The
Recognition Ceremony will take place on July 20 ,2004. At this even we will also
honor Judge Jane Pearl, Supervising Judge of Kings and Richmond County
Family Courts, the Seamen's of Children Society and Families' Safe passage Program,
as well as the law firms, legal service agencies, and the Summer Associates who
participate the CAP in Summer Program. The Recognition Ceremony will take place
at the law offices of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, which are
located at One New York Plaza and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in conference room 29
A-B.
We would like to include a short biography
of your achievements in the program, so please e-mail a short paragraph or resume
to Sarah Hsiao at shsiao@sffnv.org by July 1st. In addition, we would also like
to give you the opportunity to invite friends and family to this event. Please
e-mail a list of your guests including their mailing addresses to Sarah as soon
possible so that we can mail them invitations.
This event gives us the unique opportunity to recognize the individuals and
organizations that have helped make CAP a success. We are pleased that you will
be part of this sepecial night.
