Maureen Dougherty began her career in the Unified Court System
in 1966 as a Court Office Assistant in the Family Court in Central Islip.
In 1978 she was promoted to her current position of Senior Court Clerk.
For the past thirteen years, Maureen has worked in the General Clerks
Office, which is considered the hub of Family Court. Her dedication and
commitment to her job are unparalleled and have resulted in the highest
level of customer service and satisfaction. Maureen's professional, patient,
problem-solving approach to her job enhances not only the court's relationship
with the public, but contributes to strong positive relationships with
her co-workers, both judicial and non-judicial alike. All who seek her
services, self-represented litigants, attorneys, court employees and judges,
are treated with dignity, professionalism and courtesy. She truly cares
about the people she works with and the public she serves. In sum, Maureen
is a model public servant who is simply the best.
