Queenie Anderson

Queenie Luther has worked for the Office of Court Administration for approximately twenty-five years. Her long association with the courts started in August 1976 when she began working for the Office of Court Administration, Appellate Division, Mental Health Information Service, Wassaic Developmental Center. She worked there until January 1980 when she accepted a position with the Dutchess County Public Defender's Office in Poughkeepsie. During her stint with the Public Defender's Office, Queenie took and passed the Court Clerk test and returned to the Office of Court Administration as a Court Clerk in White Plains Family Court in January 1983. Having passed the Senior Court Clerk exam in 1984, she accepted an appointment to that position in Westchester County Family Court. In March 1986, Queenie was assigned to supervise Yonkers Family Court and, except for a brief period of time in 1991-1992, has done so ever since. While serving in that capacity she received two additional promotions, first to Associate Court Clerk in 1998 and then to Principal Court Clerk in 2000. Queenie is the proud mother of nine children and grandmother of thirteen grandchildren.
