Venture Law Group Joins Heller Ehrman

Founded in 1993, VLG specializes in representing high potential technology companies from before their creation through their public offering or acquisition and beyond. We have helped hundreds of prominent technology companies get started, funded and grow and then go public or be acquired. Among these companies are Yahoo!; Cerent (sold to Cisco in 1999 for $7 Billion); Hotmail, WebTV, LinkExchange and Vxtreme (sold to Microsoft in the late 1990s); and Rosetta Inpharmatics (sold to Merck in 2001 for $540 Million). In 1999, VLG did the fourth largest number of initial public offerings for technology companies in the country, despite the relatively small size of our firm, and in 2000 and 2001 we remained among the leading firms in the country doing IPOs. We also were involved in mergers and acquisitions of our clients in the past three years with a total value of more than $50 Billion.
