Kings County Supreme Court - Criminal Term is located at 320 Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Our building is on the corner of Jay Street and Johnson Street/Tech Place; also located next to the Marriott Hotel.

Building Rules

No smoking, radio playing, tape recorders or cameras.

Courtroom Rules

No eating, drinking, talking, reading or sleeping. No use of laptop computers or personal stereos. All beepers and mobile phones must be turned off.

Anti-Discrimination Panel

The Anti-Discrimination Panel offers an informal complaint procedure to address and resolve claims of discrimination and sexual harassment related to employment. Panel members are available to provide support, information and options. For more information, please call the inquiry line at 1-800-4-EEO-HELP.

Security

Before entering both courthouses, all visitors are subject to search by magnetometer. All bags, packages, attache cases and personal effects will be searched.

Access for Persons with Disabilities

Public entrances and exits as well as public bathrooms in both courthouses are accessible to people with disabilities. "Real time" transcription of court reporters' minutes is available for people who are deaf. Audio enhancement equipment is also available for individuals with hearing impairments.

EEO Office

The Equal Employment Opportunity Office is located at the 320 Jay Street address and meets the needs of court personnel assigned to the Civil and Criminal Term of the Supreme Court. This office heads the non-judicial training efforts and is a major player in all special projects and community outreach initiatives. They are available to answer questions and provide information regarding outreach efforts and employment opportunities in the court system.
